Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The (1974)

Leatherface My name is Leatherface. I like long walks on the beach, holding hands, cuddling, ...oh... and chopping people up with my chainsaw.

Shawn

This low budget slasher flick has no plot, at most times annoying and dumb victims, and a general fuzziness to the whole viewing, but it's filmed with enough style and skill to make it quite surprising. When a group of 5 carefree young hippies happen to stumble across a small town's hidden family of wackos, they are introduced to that "Southern Hospitality," and are hacked up via chain saw, sliced up with a meat cleaver, and hung up on meat hooks. Movie gets brutally disturbing when the victim's numbers are cut down to only one, and the last victim's upcoming death is prolonged by the killers. Don't trust the rumors if you've heard them, the story of this movie isn't actually true.

BEST BRAND OF CHAINSAW FOR GOING ON A MURDEROUS RAMPAGE WITH: Husqvarna 55 Rancher.
