Stir of Echoes (1999)

Shawn: Stir of Echoes was yet another movie with the "I see dead people" theme coming out just after The Sixth Sense. Even though it's a copy-cat using the major theme of seeing/hearing dead people, it's very well done. Bacon picks up the skill of seeing a certain dead person after being hypnotized, and his "skill" is awakened. Some really creepy events ensue. Watch this one in the dark, and watch out for the scene where Bacon jackhammers through his basement floor screaming. Hilarious.

JB: Aaahh! Creepy! Bacon is his campy confused self, and Zachary Cope is good as Jake, the blatant "I see dead people" ripoff. Serious, silly, and overdramatic... all in the right places. Good thrills, good writing, suspenseful pacing and ambiance. Ending felt a little rushed, but it didn't detract from the storyline. Grab a date, hog the couch, and close the blinds baby!

MOST INAPPROPRIATE DAMAGING OF A BODY PART: When the young girl's nail snaps on the floor - yeesh!

BEST TIME TO TAKE A LEAK: Can't.....move......too...creepy.
