JB: Pop Quiz. You've got to write a movie review... what do you do? First movie for De Bont (prior cinematographer) is certainly a winner. Reeves plays SWAT member Jack Traven hunting down raving ex-cop psycho Payne (Hopper). From elevators, to busses, to trains, the movie is non-stop action goodness, with flashes of comedy for good supporting actors (Hey! It's Alan Ruck from Ferris Bueller, where's he been?). Bullock's big break through as gorgeous leading lady, and Reeves actually finds a part he can play (grunt grunt). Make sure you have all the snacks you need first, because you ain't getting up.

Shawn: Bullock's big break as gorgeous leading lady?? hmmmm. Well, everything else I agree with. This movie has incredibly well filmed action scenes. The movie's called Speed and you really do get the feeling of speed when you watch this movie (I'm not talking about the drug). The movie also has unpredictable twists that keep you on your toes. And surprisingly, shockingly, Keanu Reeves does a bang-up acting job. Pure goodness thru and thru, especially since Billy Idol sings the title track. "Speed, Give me what I need!, Wooooooaaaaaoooww!!!!!"
