Meet the Parents (2000)

The lie detector test from hell

"Have you ever watched pornographic videos?"

"... no ... I mean, well, I don't..."

Shawn

Unfavorably named male nurse, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) has fallen in love with his girlfriend, and is ready to pop the big question. He gets the idea to ask for her father's permission to marry her, and thus, he goes to meet the parents. The movie is a comedy, so obviously, everything goes wrong for Focker. Eventually the bad events escalate and you'll start feeling sorry for the poor Focker. Note that this movie was a lot funnier the first time that I saw it. It's got quite a few "first time funny" moments, but overall it's still a very funny movie even after seeing it once before. It gets funnier the further the movie progresses; the airport sequence at the end of the movie is hilarious, first time and every time. If you are seeing this movie for the first time, you'll hurt yourself from laughing so hard. I know JB will rate this one low (since it's got Ben Stiller in it), so keep that in mind. "Can you deal with that!?"
