Demolition Man (1993)

Bratt, Stallone and Bullock Stallone tries out a "glow rod" on a bystander.

Mellow greetings review reader, what's your boggle?
In the year 2032, Los Angles is no longer a living hell, and has been turned into a society of peace, loving and understanding, inspiring joy-joy feeling in all those around. The city has been sanitized, deeming anything not good for you bad and hence illegal. Alcohol, caffeine, contact sports, meat, smoking, chocolate, gasoline, un-educational toys, anything spicy, and of course bad language. During an early morning parole hearing at the city's cryo-prison, the brutal Simon Phoenix (Snipes) from the 20th Century is defrosted and breaks free, reeking havoc upon the wimpy police force that is unable to enhance his calm. To combat this maniac, a muscle bound grotesque, John Spartan, (Stallone) is thawed out to combat Simon, to find him, and to put him in a hurt locker. Proceeding with extreme assertiveness, Spartan is joined by Lenina Huxsly (Bullock) who is fond of the old 20th Century ways, misquoting old slang the entire way for comic relief. Spartan and Phoenix then battle in out for the duration of the movie, the maniac responding to Spartan with several scornful remarks and a collection of Murder Death Kills.
This movie could have been a forgettable Stallone action movie, but the clever dialogue along with the future culture created for the movie make it highly entertaining. Joy-joy feelings throughout.
Have a peachy day. Be well!
